MAY 2012 TOPBOX

I've never received a box early. But there is a first time for everything. Click read more at your own risk. [:

This month we received 4 items. Two items are "full size", I don't know if a brush that is a part of a larger set would be considered full size or not.

I was excited to feel another nail polish in the purple tissue paper, but unfortunately it is not a glitter nail polish. Debroah Lippmann is famous for her glitter nail polishes. I already own similar pink sparkle nail polish that I purchased in my OLD OLD post regarding boxing day polishes. This color is called Whatever Lola Wants, a light pink microshimmer nail polish. This is a full size product.

The next item on the list is a foundation brush, when I peeked in the box I thought it was an eyeliner or mascara or something else. It does come with a brush guard and it is from a brand called Expression. The brush number is F4. My picture does not show the true color of the bristles is an orange. I don't use a foundation brush for foundation. I've been watching many videos on Youtube and it seems as though no one uses this type of foundation brush. I've seen the flat top kabuki from Sigma, a sponge, a Beauty Blender sponge, some sort of stippling brush, or your hands. I guess I can try it but I would of preferred a brush for another purpose.

I am excited to try the Cover FX ClearPrep FX Matter Foundation Primer & Anti-Acne Treatment Gel because it is a primer that contains an anti-acne treatment gel. The sample is 7ml which is approximately a fourth of the full size.

The last item is an expensive item, Orlane Anagenese 25+ First Time-Fighting Care Eye Contour, $75 for 15ml of product. The sample is 2ml, but the full size only contains 15ml. It targets 25+ which I have yet to hit.

Overall I am happy that the box is worth the amount I paid for and they are samples I can use. I've been receiving Topboxes since March but this is the first opportunity for me to share my thought because the world wide web is not filled with reviews/unboxing. (:

*While writing this I remembered that I can use the foundation brush for clay mask application if it didn't work for foundation application.

ON ANOTHER NOTE~

The image below shows all of the nail polishes I've received from subscription boxes. They are all some sort of light pink. I did choose the Julep polish because I wanted to have a nude sheer color but now I have a rather large selection of these pale pinks. I hope that I don't receive anymore pale pinks. I don't buy them because I prefer blues.

L to R Mark's Tickled Pink, Julep's Jennifer, Misa's Should I?, Deborah Lippmann's Whatever Lola Wants, and Ocean 's Pink Parade.
