I only applied one coat of the Rouge by American Apparel because it is very pigmented and I only need it to sit as a backdrop for the Red Velvet by ELF from the holiday gift set.
Since the ELF nail polish was only 50 cents + shipping, I did not expect it to be very opaque.
Perhaps next time, I will try to swatch it alone (:
I tried to do a full set of candy cane nails but I didn't like the results of the first nail (thumb), so I decided to do accent candy cane nails.
